Shannon Laesch, APN, MSN, ACNS-BC brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of patient care to Premier Podiatry, but her passion is managing bone health, treating bone conditions like osteoporosis, and helping each patient achieve optimal wellness.

As an Advanced Practice Nurse and board certified Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist, she’s highly qualified to work directly with patients, assess their needs, and develop personalized treatment plans at all three office locations in Normal, Pontiac, and Eureka, Illinois.

Shannon started her education at Illinois State University in Normal, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Then she earned a Master’s in Nursing Education and Adult Health from OSF St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois.

With a drive to provide advanced patient care, Shannon continued her education, becoming a Clinical Nurse Specialist at OSF St. Francis, before receiving specialized training as a death investigator at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, then completing forensics post-masters work at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shannon also completed the Fracture Liaison Service Course through the National Osteoporosis Foundation.

Before joining the team at Premier Podiatry, Shannon opened and operated a Bone Health Clinic, where she worked with physicians in neurosurgery and pain management to manage patients with osteoporosis. As a strong advocate of osteoporosis education, she published numerous articles helping patients learn how to prevent and manage osteoporosis.

Shannon’s past work experience includes owning a home care agency, performing employee health screenings, and teaching nursing clinicals at Illinois State University.

Shannon holds professional membership in the National Osteoporosis Foundation, the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nurses, and the International Association of Forensic Nursing.

When she’s not helping patients at Premier Podiatry, Shannon stays active in her community and enjoys sporting events and activities with her kids. She also travels, swims, and camps whenever possible. She even enjoys gardening and working in her yard.
